Barbara Adinolfi
Barbara Adinolfi received the master degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 2000 and the degree in Control and Quality of the Drug in 2005, both from the University of Pisa, Italy. She received the PhD in Pharmacotoxicological, Pharmacognostical Sciences and Pharmacological Biotechnologies in 2005 from the University of Milan and the Specialization in Pharmacology in 2008 from the University of Pisa, Italy. She has worked from 2000 until July 2013 at the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Pisa. She also spent a period (July 2009-June 2010) in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, as postdoc. At the university of Pisa (Italy) she collaborated with lessons, seminars and practical laboratory teaching in the field of Molecular and Biomolecular Pharmacology and at the teaching and tutoring activity within the laurea degree courses in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology Chemistry, Control and Quality of the Drug and Pharmacy. She has been reviewer for International Journals of pharmacology. At present she is at the Institute of Applied Physics, Florence, Italy. Her research activity is focused both on the evaluation of anticancer activity of natural, synthetic and semi-synthetic compounds by using human cancer cell lines, on the evaluation of the role of specific proteins as putative prognostic markers in cancer and on the evaluation of the activity of nanoparticles as intracellular delivery tools for oligonucleotide optical switches by confocal microscopy.
