Simone Berneschi     

Simone Berneschi is a researcher at the IFAC-CNR in Firenze. He received his MS and PhD degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He has published more than 50 papers in ISI journals and 60 papers in international conference proceedings. His research interests include integrated optical components and WGM microresonators for telecommunication and sensing. In the last years, he focused his research activity on the development of optical bio-chip for the fluorescence detection of bio-markers in Lab-On-Chip and Point-Of-Care devices. He is a member of SIOF, EOS and OSA.
